Pest pressure is seasonal, and the homes that stay clear are the ones that treat ahead of the curve rather than after an infestation is visible. Below is the calendar our technicians work to.
Spring: the wake-up
As soil temperatures rise, termite swarmers emerge and ant colonies begin foraging aggressively. This is the single most important window for termite inspection.
- Book a termite inspection
- Clear gutters and downspouts
- Trim shrubs back from siding
- Start mosquito service before populations build
Summer: peak activity
Mosquitoes, wasps and fleas peak in summer heat. Outdoor living space is the priority, along with checking eaves for developing wasp nests.
- Empty standing water weekly
- Inspect eaves and soffits monthly
- Keep pets on preventatives
Autumn: the migration indoors
The first cold nights push mice, spiders and overwintering insects toward warm structures. Exclusion work done now prevents a winter problem.
- Seal gaps larger than 6 mm
- Check weather stripping on all doors
- Screen attic and crawlspace vents
Winter: the quiet threats
Activity slows outdoors but rodents already inside will breed through the cold months. Attic and garage inspections matter most in winter.
